Author Terry Frei, author of the book "Third Down and A War To Go" joins us to tell the story of the 1942 Wisconsin Badgers Football team. After posting an 8-1-1 record and #3 AP Poll National Ranking, the majority of the 1942 Badgers went off to fight WWII. Author Terry Frei's Father, former Oregon Head Coach Jerry Frei, was one of them. Only learning of his Father's WW II service and a little about the 1942 Badgers late in his Father's life, Terry Frei was inspired to embark on the journey of finding out about these young men of 1942, who were both typical carefree college football players from a simpler era, and, ultimately heroes who fought and won a war to save the free world. His award winning book, "Third Down and a War To Go" tells their story.

Former FSU WR Kevin Knox of the 1993 FSU National Champions shares insights about being recruited by and playing for Coach Bobby Bowden and we also replay segments of our interview with Coach Bowden and Co-Host Sammie Smith from October of 2019. Coach Bowden talks about turning around the 4-29 program he inherited and taking the program to Elite status with a record 14 Top-5 finishes in the AP poll from 1987-2000. Sammie Smith shares about the impact of his personal relationship with Coach Bowden, from being recruited as a high school player to their life long friendship.

Trapp's highlights include starting at WR in Florida's first 2 New Years Day Bowl Games, the 1966 Sugar Bowl and the 1967 Orange Bowl; being named to All-American teams for both football and baseball, and playing in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and the San Diego Chargers. Later, Orlando native and Pine Castle Christian Academy alum and Auburn All-American Emily Carosone talks about her journey to becoming a member of the Italian Olympic Softball team.
