Sammie Smith currently serves as Life Coach and Team Chaplain for Ole Miss Football as well as his duties with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Vietnam Combat Veteran Jim Sursely, a former National Disabled Veteran of the Year and former National President of the Disabled Veterans of America join is the featured guest on the 2020 RFW Show Tribute to Memorial Day. Jim Sursely tells his story of enlisting in the US Army in 1968, volunteering to serve in a combat unit, his service and duties engaging the enemy,his catastrophic injuries suffered when he stepped on a mine and lost both legs and his left arm and his long road back to recovery from his wounds and the difficult readjustment back to civilian life and the successes he has had, personally, in business and as a leader in the National DAV over the course of the last 40 plus years.

Talkin' Old School 2020 Memorial Day Tribute featuring Rocky Bleier

Pittsburgh Steelers 4-time Super Bowl Champion and Vietnam Combat Veteran Rocky Bleier, author of the book,  "Fighting Back, The Rocky Bleier Story" and subject of the movie of the same name, shares his story of being drafted into the US Army as a rookie RB with the Steelers in 1968, volunteering to serve in Vietnam, first hand accounts of his service as a combat infantry soldier, being severely wounded in combat, being told by doctors that he would never play football again and the long, painful struggle to make it back to the NFL, which ended in his being a key part of 4 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl victories as a starting RB, and ending his 12-year NFL career as the Steelers 4th all-time leading rusher.

Talkin' Old School highlights the 2020 Apopka Blue Darter Softball team, who represent one of Florida's most consistently successful Softball programs. Senior Pitcher Nyah Vogel, SOPH 2B Aubrey Evans, SOPH SS Jesi Mora---all 3 are First Team Class 9-A All-State Selections, and Head Coach Mike MacWithey join Roger Franklin Williams as they share the disappointment of losing most of a 2020 season that had such high hopes, as well as the Joys of past glories and their outlook for their future, on and off the field. A great show that reveals the amazing maturity and optimism of these young ballplayers.

Gator Great Jim Yarbrough and Coach Phil Ziglar

Two great Hall of Famers joined Talkin' Old School for this show! Jim Yarbrough, a member of the Florida Gator Athletic Hall of Fame and Coach Phil Ziglar, who is the all-time winningest Football Coach at TWO different high schools--his alma mater Boone High School and Hagerty High School--discuss their eventful careers on this Talkin' Old School episode. Jim Yarbrough starred at Tight End for the Gators from 1966-68, a great era of Florida Football. He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1969 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions and played Offensive Tackle for the Lions for 9 years. Jim Yarbrough has been recognized by the Gainesville Sun as one of the 100 all-time greatest Gator football players and as a member of the Gators All-20th Century team. Coach Phil Ziglar was inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January. His 43 year career as a high school coach and teacher includes serving as an assistant coach at Colonial, Dr Phillips, Oak Ridge and Timber Creek high schools and Head Coach at Boone for 23 years and Hagerty for 6 years; he turned both programs from perennial losers into Championship caliber programs.
