Part 2 of the story of the 1984 Florida Gators, Florida's First On-the-Field SEC Champions with Special Guest Scott Trimble, member of the Great Wall of Florida, the '84 Gators Legendary Offensive Line. This segment talks about the impact of the Great Wall of Florida, provides more details about the 1984 season, about Coach Charley Pell's lasting impact on the success of Gator Football and the sad info about the way the Title was stripped by a 5-4 vote of other SEC schools. Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State voting with the Gators and LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia and Vanderbilt voting to strip the Title. Part 1 and Part 2 of this program represent the first 2 segments of an going series of Talkin' Old School produced programs which will highlight the 1984 Gators during the year of their 40th anniversary.

The program included interviews with Head Coach Bobby Brewer, Apopka Coaching Legend Coach John Mancuso and Brian King founder of Orlando Baseball Academy as well as 2024 players Alejandro Posluszny, Cody McKinley, Reid Taylor, Nico Posluszny, Conner McAfee and Wyatt Jaggers, as well as Blue Darter players from "back in the day", including workhorse RHP from the '70's, Don Heller.

Apopka Baseball Victory Over West Orange on Michael Taylor Jersey Retirement Night

The Radio Broadcast of Apopka Blue Darter Baseball's exciting 3-2 victory over rival West Orange with Play by Play by Blue Darter Baseball Alum Roger Franklin Williams on March 8, 2024. The broadcast also includes an interview with former Blue Darter Great Michael Taylor (2001-04). Michael Taylor's number 46 was retired in a a wonderful ceremony before the game that was attended by many former Blue Darter Baseball Alumni. Taylor, one of only 4 Apopka Baseball Alumni to play in the Major Leagues, played with the Oakland As and Chicago White Sox after a standout career at Stanford University.
